2019年12月6日，移民局在官网上通知，确认2020年抽签的H1B将采用网上注册的方式，先注册后申请。注册窗口期为2020年的3月1日至3月20日。

可能不少申请人觉得这个新闻已经听了好久了，这次是否又会是雷声大雨点小，最后不了了之呢？宋和孟律师事务所的孟小洁律师认为，这次移民局看起来是动真格的，前期做了一系列的铺垫动作并且广而告之，所以2020年H1B抽签实行网上注册势在必行，明年的申请人应当提前做好准备。

近日美国留学生圈的大新闻之一，是4月2日NBC爆出一家提供OPT挂靠的公司Findream老板被刑事起诉。据起诉书中的内容披露，有1900名左右的中国学生在这家公司进行过OPT“挂靠”，也就是通过付钱获得该公司的工作证明。

由于涉案范围极广，新闻爆出后，不少在这家或者别家进行过类似挂靠行为的学生，纷纷通过各个渠道想要了解此次事件对自己的影响。

截止到目前（4月7日），尚未有消息显示国土安全部已经对任何涉案学生采取行动。但是，宋和孟律师事务所友情提醒，这并不表示这个事件已经过去。参考以往类似案件的后续发展，所有涉案的学生都需要对自己可能受到的影响有所心理准备。

USCIS announced it will resume premium processing on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 for all H-1B petitions.
